The historic Boatshed sits on the banks of the Clyde River in the heart of Batemans Bay.

You can enjoy traditional fish and chips whilst experiencing the beautiful and tranquil atmosphere of the river, and they delight in showing off the stingrays and fish that reside in the waters below.

The Innes family have owned and run the Boatshed for over fifty years, and have intentionally maintained the informal setting for their patrons.

And it's ok to come straight in off the beach!

Dine inside on cooler days, or take your meal or coffee, onto the back deck, overlooking the beautiful Clyde River.

Innes Boatshed is also the boarding point for Merinda Cruises, which run three hour river cruises daily.

Optional fish, chips and salad lunches are prepared by the on-shore team at the Boatshed, and served up hot onboard.

Treasures from the Deep - Opal and Shell Museum 30 years of collecting shells from around the world including shells from the sea, rivers, on land and even as fossils. 25 years of opal mining has permitted this attractive display of rare opal collections, specimens and fossils from the major fields of Central Australia.

1. Broulee Beach Situated 20 kilometres south of Batemans Bay, Broulee is a long sweeping beach protected by Broulee Island. This is a favourite beach with tourists, and is ideal for families.
2. Murramarang National Park Murramarang National Park protects over 11,977 hectares of coastal land between Kiola and Batemans Bay on the state's South Coast. Four offshore islands are also included in the park - Wasp Island, Grasshopper Island, Dawsons Island and O'Hara Island.
3. Surf Beach Batemans Bay Located just a short 10 minute drive south of Batemans Bay central business district, this beach is very popular with both locals and visitors alike. Lots of grassy areas overlooking the beach providing pleasant spots for general relaxation. The beach is patrolled in peak season. Surf Club, change room and shower facilities are available.

BBACS Colour your World *** Latest event details are yet to be confirmed *** Come along to the Batemans Bay Arts and Crafts Society (BBACS) Colour your World with art and craft where local artists display an array of work in various mediums ranging from oils to watercolour, acrylic and pastels, along with drawings and mixed media. There will be sculpture and craft with a Christmas theme.

1. Batemans Bay Annual Yellowfin Competition The Batemans Bay Annual Yellowfin Competition is one of the first and one of the biggest events on the Game-fishing calendar with entrants from New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory. The tournament attracts men, women and children to the seaside town of Batemans Bay for the two days with the aim of serious fishing, tall tales of the one that got away and loads of enjoyment.
